Hank was a member of the Mohawk Masonic Lodge and the Civil Air Patrol at Rome Air Depot.

He also played at Smalley's Theater in Mohawk during the silent movie era. He was the founder of "The Neodackians Orchester" and "Henry Loopman & His Orchestra." He also played with Bruce Petrie and "Billy O'Brien's New Yorkers Traveling Band," playing in nightclubs and on boats throughout the northeastern US and many Adirondack hotels. Hank brought so many nursing home patients so much joy, and brought back so many good memories to all that he entertained. Henry was an accomplished and well known local musician, spending more than 65 years entertaining in many areas, most recently in central New York, playing with the group, "The Physicians," dispensing musical medicine in many nursing homes.
